Challenge
The annual doTERRA Convention is more than an event, it’s an immersive experience that brings together over 30,000 Wellness Advocates to connect, learn, and share. Each attendee receives a custom-designed backpack as part of the convention experience. With just six months to design, source, sample, and deliver, the 2021 convention project moved at lightning speed.
Approach
Rapid-fire ideation and tightly scoped tech packs led to early prototypes that needed minimal revisions for production. Frequent, collaborative reviews with doTERRA’s creative team enabled fast, focused decision-making and helped us align the bag design with the convention’s themes and doTERRA’s brand values. We incorporated recycled materials and fabrics to reflect the company’s commitment to holistic wellness and sustainability.
Outcome
The result was a thoughtfully designed, high-quality bag delivered just in time for the event. When a COVID-related shutdown disrupted production overseas, we pivoted quickly, partnering with local vendors to complete final details and ensure every bag made it to the convention floor.
