Inspired by Scandinavian furniture design and heirloom baby cribs, we aimed to design and develop an open ended play structure that could be passed down from generation to generation. The streamlined design helps craft an experience where a child discovers their own form of play. In essence, the Play Gym becomes a medium of expression. Some in depth “user testing” with team members’ children saw early prototypes become jungle gyms, mountains, passageways, and sail boats.
